Every size, time and count limit that applies to Chataway apps, in one place.

#Tool calls

Time per call	120 s	Return a job id and add a status tool for longer work.
Response size	50 MB	Text + files in one `CallToolResult`; larger responses fail.
One file sent to your server	≤ `maxBytes`, at most 20 MiB	After `prepare`. Arrives base64-encoded (≈ 27 MB of JSON).
Calls per app	60 per minute, across projects	A limited call fails with an error the agent sees.
Hand-off consent	Once per (project, from, to) with Always	Otherwise every hand-off.
